Your Data Privacy & Security Matters

Introduction

Ztek Technologies’s mission is to build solutions and services for professionals and organizations to help them be more productive and successful. Central to this mission is our commitment to comply with regulatory frameworks for data protection and privacy. Ztek Technologies Inc. has established all reasonable measures and controls in support of the EU General Data Protection Regulation to fully respect “Data Subjects” rights and fulfill our duties as a “Data controller”. We implemented privacy by design and default principles and maintain transparency about the data we collect, how it is used and shared.

Services

This Privacy Policy applies to all zTek Technologies products, SalesPharma.net, SalesPharma.com, MyVisits.ca apps, zBlock.ca and other zTek technology sites, apps, communications and services (“Services”), including off-site Services, such as our Blockchain services, but excluding services that state that they are offered under a different privacy policy. By using our Services, you consent to our use of your data under this Privacy Policy. Our registered users (“Members”) share their professional identities, engage with their network, exchange documents and view relevant content using our services to other users (“Members”)

Consent

If you use our Services, you consent to the collection, use and sharing of your personal data under this Privacy Policy and other documents referenced in this Privacy Policy. We shall request that you accept this privacy policy by opt-in checkbox upon account creation. We will maintain record of consent date and time. Consent withdrawal is automatically exercised upon your or your employer right to close the account.

Change

We may modify this Privacy Policy, and if we make material changes to it, we will provide notice through our Services, or by other means, to provide you the opportunity to review the changes before they become effective. If you object to any changes, you may close your account. Your continued use of our Services after we publish or send a notice about our changes to this Privacy Policy means that you are consenting to the updated Privacy Policy.

Security

We monitor and try to prevent security breaches through our own system and using third party provides an tools. We have put in place procedures to investigate, log, report on breaches within 72 hours upon detecting or being informed about any security or data breach. Our procedure includes performing data privacy impact assessment DPIA. Please use the security features available through our Services and apps. We implement security safeguards designed to protect your data, such as HTTPS. We regularly monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks. However, we cannot warrant the security of any information that you send us. There is no guarantee that data may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.

Information You Provide To Us

Account Information

You provide the following data to create an account with us. Your name, email address and/or mobile number, and a password. If you register for any of our paid services and subscriptions, we ask you for payment (e.g., credit card) and billing information.

Service Use

We log your visits and use of our Services, including mobile apps. We log usage data when you visit or otherwise use our Services, including our sites, app and platform technology and when you install one of our mobile apps, We use log-ins to identify you and log your use. When using our zBlockchain verification service we are blind to the information inside the document being verified using our website or API except for hashed metadata on the document in terms of what was verified, date and time. Such information will registered permanently on the blockchain network even after account cancellation.

Cookies, Web Beacons and Other Similar Technologies

We do not directly collect data through cookies and similar technologies. We use Google Analytics, Android SDK and iOS SDK about usage of our apps and metrics to support our services and improve the user experience. You can always check the settings on your browser and adjust the settings as per your preference. Any changes you make will not affect the service we provide to you.

Your Device and Location

We do not receive data directly from your devices and network.

Messages and Friend Invites

If you communicate through our Services and Apps, we learn about that. We collect information about you when you send, receive, or engage with messages and friend invitations in connection with our Services. For example, if you get a Add Friend request, we track whether you have acted on it.

Workplace Provided Information

When your employer buys Service for a member to use at work, they may give us data about you. An employer (or other person or entity procuring our Services for your use) may provide us information about their employees or contractors who make use of these Services. For example, we will get contact information for administrators and for authorizing users of our Services, such as sales or products.

Data Portability

Data can be extracted by using the reporting engine and access to the API for active accounts. Information will be provided in JSON or CSV formats. Such data need to be extracted before you or employer close your account.

How We Use Your Data

Our free and paid services and apps allow you to collaborate with colleagues, search for potential clients, customers, partners and others to do business with. Our Services allow you to communicate with other professionals and schedule and prepare meetings with them. We use your data to provide, support, personalize and develop our Services.

Communications

We contact you and enable communications between members. We offer settings to control what and how often you receive some types of messages.

Advertising

We do not serve ads using our services and apps.

Marketing

We promote our Services and Apps to you and others.

Developing Services and Research

We develop our Services and conduct research. We use anonymised data in our applications and apps to provide you and others with a better, more intuitive and personalized experience, drive membership growth and engagement on our Services and apps.

Customer Support

We use data to help you and fix problems. We use the data (which can include your communications) needed to investigate, respond to and resolve complaints and Service issues (e.g., bugs).

Aggregate Insights

We use data to generate aggregate insights. We use your information to produce aggregate insights that do not identify you.

Legal Disclosures

We may need to share your data when we believe it’s required by law or to protect your and our rights and security.

Change in Control or Sale

We may share your data when our business is sold to others, but it must continue to be used in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

We keep most of your personal data for as long as your account is open by you or by your employer. We keep some of your data even after you close your account. For example, data registered on the Blockchain and zBlockchain network using our zBlock.ca service can not be deleted.

Rights to Access and Control Your Personal Data

You can access or delete your personal data using the choices provided in our services and apps.

Security and Investigations

We use data for security, fraud prevention and investigations. We use your data (including your communications) if we think it’s necessary for security purposes or to investigate possible fraud or other violations of our User Agreement or this Privacy Policy and/or attempts to harm our Members.

Data Processors

We may process your data using trusted and reputable providers for hosting and data storage of our services such as Google, Amazon and Blockchain Network providers.

Cross-Border Data Transfers

We process data both inside and outside of Canada and the United States. We use reputable data processors when transfer data across borders who reside in Canada following the Canadian PIPEDA or follow EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield frameworks.
